Candle Tips
|
| |
See the candle pictured below? This is how our 3x9 candle will burn if you follow our very important burning tips, listed below.

|
|
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Please be sure to keep your candles away from ANY draft. Ceiling fans are a big no-no. Air conditioning and heating vents also create air movement which can affect the way your candle burns. *A great tip...if the flame of your candle moves or "dances", your candle is in a draft. Move it to another area to get the best burning quality.
Keep a close eye on your flame when burning your candle in a vase or hurricane. These will also create air movements which can make your candle burn unevenly.
Always keep your wick trimmed to approximately 1/4 inch, especially the 3 inch diameter candles. Here is a good rule of thumb...If you see black smoke coming from the flame - it is time to trim your wick.
Always extinguish the flame before trimming & never let the wick trimmings remain in the wax.
Give your candles a "hug" after you blow out the candle. Cup your hands around the outside top of the candle where the wax is soft and gently force the rim in toward the center of the candle. This will keep the candle burning evenly.
If you would ever notice the wick "leaning" closer to one side of the candles edge, extinguish the flame and move the wick toward the center.
This may seem like a lot of things to remember, but remember, you are dealing with fire. We want to keep our customers safe! Follow these simple tips and use common sense so you can enjoy our superior candles all year long.
